Dr. Sean Eversley Bradwell serves as an assistant professor in the Department of Education at Ithaca College. He is an alumnus of Amsterdam High School in New York State; received a B.A. in political science from the University of Rochester; an M.S. in education from Rochester's Margaret Warner Graduate School of Education and Human Development; and a Ph.D. in policy analysis and management from Cornell University.
Sean has served on the Ithaca Board of Education since 2009 and as chair of the policy committee since 2010. Through his professional, research, and personal involvement in education, as well as his work with community organizations, Sean is committed to working toward more meaningful learning and teaching.
Sean serves on the Audit and Policy committees for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Adam Krantweiss, Ph.D.

Adam Krantweiss grew up in the New York Metropolitan area where he attended public school. His parents were NYC public school teachers/administrators. When he attended graduate school, Adam had the opportunity to work as a summer school and substitute teacher at different alternative high schools in the NYC public school system. He graduated from Binghamton University in 1998 and then returned to school there to earn a Ph.D. in clinical psychology in 2004. In 2017, his wife (who grew up In Ithaca and went through the ICSD system) and he moved to Ithaca where their two children attend school in the ICSD.
For the past 20 years, Adam has worked as a clinical psychologist in inpatient and outpatient settings, teaching psychology classes at SUNY Binghamton and Cornell University, and conducting psychological evaluations - frequently to determine the needs of students and US veterans with disabilities.
Adam serves on the Curriculum and Human Resources committees for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Garrick Blalock

Garrick Blalock is an Associate Professor of Applied Economics and Policy at the SC Johnson College of Business and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University. He is an author of two dozen peer-reviewed studies on economic development with a recent focus on East Africa.
Garrick joins the Board of Education after a decade serving on the City of Ithaca Planning and Development Board. He is an advocate of growing our region’s tax base to ensure educational funding while reducing tax rates.
Garrick holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.A. in applied mathematics from Yale University. Garrick’s publications and C.V. are at https://garrickblalock.com.

Erin Croyle

Erin Croyle is a journalist and writer who serves as Communications Specialist for the Center for Family Involvement, an organization that provides informational and emotional support for families and individuals affected by disability. She has worked for National Geographic and Al Jazeera English both in Washington, D.C. and Southeast Asia.
She was working in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia when her first child was born. His diagnosis of Down syndrome sent her career on a new trajectory. She moved back to the DC area with her husband and immersed herself in disability rights advocacy on the local, state, and national levels. In Virginia, she was appointed by Alexandria's City Council to serve as vice-chair of their Community Services Board.
Erin is Partners In Policy Making alumnus (Virginia 2014, New York 2019) and has worked for The Arc of Virginia. She was elected to the Ithaca Board of Education in 2019.
Erin lives in the Northeast neighborhood of Ithaca with her husband Daniel Sheire and their three young children who all are part of the ICSD.
Erin serves on the Curriculum Committee for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Todd Fox

Todd was born and raised in Ithaca and takes the greatest pride in being an Ithacan. He proudly walked the halls of South Hill, Boynton, and graduated IHS in 2000. Todd’s oldest daughter graduated Ithaca High in 2023, and he currently has a daughter and son at Fall Creek. Todd is entering his sixth year of coaching elementary girl's basketball (three years at South Hill and two years at Fall Creek) and was PTA president of South Hill during the peak of Covid. He has contributed time and money to the community in a myriad of other ways, helping to support underserved families in the community. Todd’s mother was a teacher's aid at South Hill elementary school for almost two decades, making a lasting impact on anyone she came in contact with. Todd’s roots are deeply planted in this community.
Currently his company is developing affordable housing projects to provide relief for families and residents from the housing crisis in Ithaca. Todd has developed and managed over $300 million dollars of construction projects since starting his company almost 15 years ago. He manages several hundred construction workers on any given job site at a time, coordinating multiple companies from different trades, orchestrating them together to create a cohesive team.
Todd’s unique skill set includes entrepreneurial and innovative problem-solving, skillful management of complex budgets, and bringing difficult projects to life. He is a data-driven decision maker who uses extensive due diligence and processes to achieve the best possible results.
Todd serves on the Audit, Facilities, and Finance committees for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Jill K. Tripp, Ph.D.

Jill is a retired ICSD school psychologist and beginning her third year on the board of education. She has spent her life in public education, graduating from Susquehanna Valley High School, SUNY Binghamton, UNC-Greensboro, and the University of Kansas. Jill lives in downtown Ithaca and has enjoyed a variety of part-time jobs since retirement including US Census taker, carousel operator, and rural mail carrier.
"I have worked in all our district schools, most intensively at Caroline, Fall Creek, South Hill, and BJM," Jill said. "I served as the psychologist on the District Committee for Special Education for many years as well as in the district's pre-kindergarten program. I have served on the Facilities and Human Resources committees of the Board of Education. I remain passionate about public education and will continue with the priorities of transparent decision making, fiscal caution, and academic excellence for all of our students."

Emily Workman
Term Expires 2027
Emily Workman is the mother of two elementary students in ICSD. She spent half of her childhood in Ithaca, leaving DeWitt after 7th grade, only to return to a town she loved as a child to raise her own kids four years ago.
Emily has spent her career in early childhood and K-12 education policy. She has led the state policy portfolio of work at several national organizations, advising state leaders on evidence-based policies that are proven to improve outcomes for children and their families. She is currently Managing Director of Strategy and Partnerships at the Prenatal-to-3 Policy Impact Center at Vanderbilt University. Emily recognizes the critical need for strong leadership in driving policy change, but knows that the real work happens when those policies are implemented.
She is also a certified birth doula.
Emily has a Master’s Degree in Comparative and International Social Policy from the University of York in England and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Duke University.
Because of her deep love and appreciation for teachers, Emily has volunteered as the President of the PTA at Northeast Elementary for the past three years, and as the Vice-President for the ICSD PTA Council. In her 'spare' time, you'll find her screaming on the side lines of her son's baseball games, helping her daughter master her back handspring, whining to her husband about the long winters, and dragging them all on hikes around the beautiful Ithaca area.

Karen Yearwood

Karen Yearwood, an Ithaca resident since 2005, and her husband have two ICSD graduates. Karen has been involved in different areas of public education in Ithaca: a member of the Equity & Inclusion Leadership Council (EILC), family advocate for multiple ICSD families, served as the 2nd Executive Director of Village at Ithaca, community/PTA representative on ICSD hiring committees, former board member of Ithaca Public Education Initiative (IPEI), and former board chair/member of BJM Academic Plus afterschool program.
Karen was awarded the 2017 Unsung Hero Award for her outstanding contributions to the Ithaca Community.
Her ongoing involvement in public education is motivated by her desire to ensure that all students are fully prepared for college and/or career, caregivers are heard and supported, and staff concerns are addressed (represented by their Bargaining Union).
Karen has her B.B.A. from Pace University and M.B.A. from University of West Indies (UWI) Cave Hill, Barbados.
Karen serves on the Facilities and Finance committees for the 2024-2025 academic year.
