On Monday, March 10, Beverly J. Martin Elementary School (BJM) proudly unveiled its new STEAM Lab with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking an exciting milestone for our school community. Mr. Graham’s 5th-grade class, joined by community members, had the honor of inaugurating this dynamic space with an engaging lesson using our new Hummingbird robotics kits!
Designed as an inclusive and innovative learning space, the STEAM Lab encourages scholars to explore, create, and push the boundaries of their imaginations. Through hands-on, inquiry-based experiences in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, students develop essential skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration.
At BJM, we are committed to fostering a culture of curiosity, perseverance, and creativity. The STEAM Lab empowers all students to see themselves as scientists, engineers, artists, and leaders of the future. By providing meaningful, real-world learning experiences, we inspire a lifelong passion for discovery and innovation in all our scholars.
The launch of our STEAM Lab represents a significant step forward in equipping our students with the skills and mindset needed for success in the 21st century. We look forward to seeing the incredible projects, ideas, and innovations that emerge from this space!
A special thank you to Denise Lee, Jackie Richardson, Samantha Little, Akil Atiba, and Yunis Kinkhabwala for their support and contributions.
